Blinds made to measure for the Upper Hunter

Full dark at midday, whenever your shift says it’s night. Out here a blind isn’t decoration, it’s climate gear, and we build it to fit your window and the way you live in the room.

Blinds are all we do, and we come to you, anywhere in the valley.

A country bedroom at midday with a blockout roller blind lowered, a thin line of bright light glowing under the bottom rail
The blind down, the room cool and dark, and one knife of light under the rail. That last line of light is the part most blinds get wrong.

Blockout for the day sleep.

Wipe-clean for the dust.

Tilt for the hard western sun.

The plan you bring to the measure

Room by room, and the sun that hits it

Tell us which way a window faces and what the room is for. We’ll show you when the sun lands on it across the day, and what sort of blind actually solves that room. Add as many rooms as you like, then bring the list to your free measure.

Pick which way the window faces and what the room is for, and the sun will show up on the bar.

Two things we won’t skip

The dark that lets you sleep, and cords that keep kids safe

Dark enough to sleep at 11am

Blockout fabric stops the light through the blind. The trick is the edges: fitted into side channels or a cassette, the light can’t creep around the sides. That gap is the difference between a dim room and one you can actually sleep in off night shift.

Corded blinds, done to the standard

Loose blind cords are a real hazard for small children, and there’s an Australian safety standard that covers how they’re fitted. We install to that standard, and where a room needs it we’ll steer you to cordless. More on child-safe blinds.

Built for the western sun

The hard afternoon light fades furniture and cooks a room. We look at which way each window faces before we recommend anything, so the blind actually earns its keep by two o’clock in January.

How it works

One visit to measure, one quote in writing

  1. Send us the rooms

Use the planner above or just tell us what you’re after. There’s no phone to chase, the form is the front door.

  2. We come out and measure

We look at each window, which way it faces and how you use the room, and talk through what suits. Made to measure means it fits your window, not the nearest standard size.

  3. You get a written quote

Clear, in writing, no pressure. We only price it once we’ve seen the job, so the number means something.

Ready when your shift is

Tell us the rooms and how you live in them. We'll come out, measure up, and give you a written quote for made-to-measure blinds. Full dark at midday, if that's what the room needs.
