We keep it to the blinds that earn their place out here, and we make them to measure. No showroom of things you don’t need. Start with the room’s real problem and the blind follows.

For the rooms you sit in. A soft fabric fold that warms up a lounge or a front room and filters the light rather than shutting it out.

For the west-facing rooms and the dust. Tilt the slats to cut the hard sun without shutting the room in, and wipe them clean when the paddock blows in.

Dark enough to sleep at 11am
Blockout fabric stops the light through the blind. The trick is the edges: fitted into side channels or a cassette, the light can’t creep around the sides. That gap is the difference between a dim room and one you can actually sleep in off night shift.
Corded blinds, done to the standard
Loose blind cords are a real hazard for small children, and there’s an Australian safety standard that covers how they’re fitted. We install to that standard, and where a room needs it we’ll steer you to cordless. More on child-safe blinds.

The hard afternoon light fades furniture and cooks a room. We look at which way each window faces before we recommend anything, so the blind actually earns its keep by two o’clock in January.
